Libya has recently been on the spotlight after graphic videos and photos of showing buying and selling of migrants and refugees in the country. This has been easily facilitated by the power vacuum in Libya, after the fall of their leader Muammar Gaddafi.
The underground slave market in Libya is said to auction the migrant for as little as $400. The filthy trade has attracted worldwide attention and celebrities have come out to raise awareness through social media.
Chris Brown spoke out on the matter by posting;
He further posted on his Facebook page;
When France got bombed i see the entire fb saying pray for France, when Manchester got bomb i see the same. When Texas was flooding everyone was saying pray for Texas, but this slave trade is currently going on in Libya and we dno’t see it all over social media.. smh.”
