Sauti Sol faced the wrath of Kenyans, after calling them ignorant political fanatics, in a social media post that was aimed at cooling down the political temperatures. The post read;

“TIBIM, TIALALA & TANO TENA are all empty slogans with no data and development records attached to them. A critical mass of this country is simply uneducated that’s why these things turn us on. But to be honest why aren’t these battles about manifestos and track records? In this country as long as you have money you can fart and people will cheer.”

The post was harshly received by the respective slogan  supporters, who harshly  insulted the once celebrated boy band in the country. Gospel singer Collo, seems to share the same sentiments with Sauti Sol as he came to their rescue by claiming;

“The Entertainment Mountain & creative industry should Ideally be funding politicians like in the U.S.A including other civilized nations. Here in Kenya the Government mountain has been used by some individuals to oppress all the other mountains hence we hear the weird but common phrase “tunaomba serekali”… what happened to TUNAOMBA MUNGU??? Do some research about the spheres of influence and you’ll agree with me when I say, I understand where @sautisol are coming from & concerned with how Kenyans don’t like anyone of their own sharing the truth. Infact, ingefaa wamalize kwa kusema FOM NI YESU!”
