MUSICIAN JAGUAR WINS STAREHE PARLIAMENTARY SEAT
Musician Jaguar has won the hotly contested parliamentary seat comfortably trouncing his rivals, Steve Mbogo and Boniface Mwangi.
The musician took to social media to announce his win to his adoring fans and future constituents with a post thanking them all and also giving praises to God.
“Nothing would count without God above. I thank the people of Starehe for having the confidence and trust in me to represent them in parliament. I thank all my supporters,friends and family who stayed out late campaigning. I also congratulate my worthy opponents; Steve Mbogo, Boniface Mwangj and Hon Kwenya who put up well spirited Campaigns. This is not only a win for Starehe but a win for all the Youth in Kenya who look towards a more promising future for Kenya. Let’s now build the Starehe that we all want. God bless you all.”
Across East Africa there has been a trend of Musicians harnessing their popularity and fan base to venture into politics and ultimately win their respective seats. From Bobby Wine of Uganda and Professor Jay of Tanzania whom are both current serving MPs in their various countries and now Jaguar of Kenya.
